Squaring the circle: ECL 5 Noname Human Brute Holy warrior 5 Entry 11

We entered the hotel and immediately were flung into combat. The enemy’s form was shifting and flowing as if it hadn’t decided to exist yet. This creature some how seemed to overlap itself like holding pages up to the light. It was no creature I had ever seen but I could tell it’s existence was an affront to the balance. The creature cared not for the fight, us, or even it’s allies. It’s motives were not of good or evil, but void of such concepts. I could not permit such an existence to continue. I attacked it and it seemed weak but also unaffected? It attacked with a clash of movements that I could barely distinguish with what I could only describe as a fracture running to attack Melino. The creature seemed to attack Melino but then vanished soon after. Even the damage that Melino had sustained was gone. By gone, not that she healed herself, but as if the damage has never happen? I attacked what was left of the creature in-front of me and that is when I felt my mind break. I started to see visions. Outcomes of attacks, hits, misses, wounds, not for just me, but my companions and the enemy. Get ahold of yourself! I thought. Use this and bring balance to these abominations. “Loli! Melino! I can see the balance manifesting before us! Please, heed my warnings!” I shouted. I’m great full to them for listening for the outcome could have been disastrous. Loli, who had dispatched with the enemy closes to her, rushed the enemy beside me and finished it off. With it’s death, reality in an instant snapped back and the balance was restored.

Seeing how the hotel was now secure, we headed back to town. Loli and Melino said that they had some business with William the glaberzu. We asked around and found out where he was staying. We made our way there and along the way Melino spotted a excellent part of boots that may or may not have been knock offs of boots that Loli had purchased. We got to where William was staying, but were denied access. To clarify, I was denied access because the bouncer was a complete racist and classist! The armor, weapons, and equipment I had was twice as expensive as his dumb suit and a hundred times more practical! Melino and Loli were permitted to enter and had a chance to stick up for me but they didn’t! “Lakshmi needs someone to keep him company!” they said as they giggled going up the stairs. “The bank is closed!” I yelled as they disappeared beyond view. Praise be the balance!
