Town of Hopeless: ECL 4 Wilson Mimir Extradimensionalist 1/ Taskmage 3: Entry 4

The proverbial shit has hit the fan. I believe this is the day the demon gets taken care of.  Let the games begin.

Sigil ECL 2 Acacia Halfling Rogue Entry 3

I don't know if it's going to be an exorcism or a "Bloodletting Ceremony".  All I know is I'm not gonna die in the holy waters of baptism. I'm not gonna risk being controlled by a force outside my beautiful perfect self. If I melt in the purification process I will never be able to use my sexy dagger to stab stuff. Thanks to the new member of our party, I don't exactly want to stab stuff and things all the time, but I love the shiny blade nevertheless. It's time for atonement. I'm not worried about confessing anything that would damn my soul or put me in jail. Most of my memory involves being a rape victim or nightmares of being pregnant with something evil. I'm basically the best person ever, it's not my fault I'm so sexy everyone wants to kill me. It's probably cuz I'm  extremely tall for my height. Ok, I'm ready to confess....

So I was almost killed...again. Those arrows really hurt. Especially when there’s a lot of them. If it wasn’t for Paul, we would be very much dead. We were able to find out who was stealing the “spices” and report back to The Just. We found out we would have to travel to an angelic realm but this could prove fatal to Acacia. We are on our way to an appointment with an exorcist so we can continue our journey.

Man I can't wait to kick this exorcism into high gear.

DM Entry: A great flyby animation of Sigil, the City of Doors

https://youtu.be/QShV9OmqeNc

The beginning of this video has a fantastic flyby animation of Sigil, the City of Doors, as well as the Spire that the city hovers above.

After that is a guy making a sculpture of the Lady of Pain brass logo. It's a nice sculpture. But what I really wanted to share was the city animation at the beginning. It gives you a sense of the size and shape of the city. The animation seems to be really accurate to the art I've seen in the books.

Field of Nettles: ECL 1 Acacia Halfling Rouge Entry 2

I was finally able to purchase supplies when we hit town. My disguise kit came in handy when we were surrounded by a vast expanse of grey depressed folks. We blend in perfectly and managed to get ourselves locked into another quest. We were fortunate enough to be trusted amongst crates of loot, and I was immediately drawn to the most perfectly crafted dagger my eyes could behold. It was obviously mine for the taking, and my dear friends tried to steal it from me.  Something knocked me out and sent me into a terrifying dark expanse. Everything was like a black fog, a shapeless void. I remember a voice inside me, separate but connected, determined to keep my precious blade. I regained my consciousness, and tried to tell my friends that I think I'm possessed but they wouldn't listen. They don't want me to be happy, they don't want me to have my beautiful shiny blade. I fear the only person on my side is whatever is growing in my belly, but I don't know if I should protect it or destroy it before my friends betray me again. I don't think I will tell them of my latest dream, I heard everything they said when I was in slumber, my unborn child made sure of that.  I can't trust anyone right now.

Field of Nettles: ECL 4 Melino Half Elf Druid: Entry 4

Dear Diary,

It's been a long night! We went to a town called Hopeless (obligatory foreshadowing joke here) and it was pretty dank and dusty. A lot of floating heads that REALLY don't like colors. Our lovely rogue Acacia slathered us in grey makeup so that we wouldn't get disintegrated by the homophobic floating eyes. We ended up finding where our new contract was at, we probably should have asked our boss before but we kinda forgot. I was really focused on this new spear I got. It's pretty cool.
Anyway, we are supposed to be following a fake shipment and seeing if we can catch who stole the previous one. While Wilson and Noname were looking through the shipment, I noticed that Acacia wandered off. I went to find her and she said she was vomiting (????) so I walked back with her. We started getting suspicious with how she was acting and found out Miss Sticky-Fingers took a part of the shipment! We were able to talk her down and take a look at the dagger but there really wasn't anything off about it that would make her want it so bad. Wilson and Noname did a little de-cursing on the object while Paul (new guy) and I healed Acacia (Wilson may have tried to bite her hand off). But it didn't seem to work because she was still needing it like it was a drug, she was shaking and everything!
I really think we should talk to our contact for this job before we go anywhere, I had a feeling something bad is gonna go down with Acacia.

Love, Melino <3

SIDE NOTE - I did some good charity so I'm pretty sure I'm back on the druid spectrum, I'm feeling PRETTY impartial to everything so....yeah. But we will see.

DOUBLE SIDE NOTE - Noname is looking fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine again. I'll have to hit her up later.

We are on a new adventure to find some missing shipments for our previous employer. After receiving our reward for the first job and doing a little shopping, we set out for the town of hopeless (catchy name). When we got there, we saw gigantic floating heads and even saw one vaporize a gay wizard (not sure what it had against homosexuals). We decided to cover ourselves in gray paint to not look so flamboyant (not sure if the other floating heads were homophobic or if it was just the one). We made it to the contact (forgot here name, “SOMETHING The Just SOMETHING”?) We came up with a plan to use the next shipment as bait but remove some of the “spices”. In the process Acacia got ahold of a dagger. I could tell she was being influenced by something but we couldn’t tell what. We finally got the dagger away from her after something feel from the ceiling that looked to be in the shape of a Wilson and knocked her out. We thought the dagger may have been cursed so Wilson and I went to find something to break the curse. Once we got back with the scrolls, Wilson cast the spell and applied it to the dagger. And POOF, Nothing. We healed Acacia and when she woke up she still went for the dagger while muttering about a dream. I’ve never partied with a Rogue before, so I don’t know if the need for the dagger is a rogue thing or if there is something more at play. All I know is that Melino is looking pretty cute now that she’s not possessed with a evil succubus. She’s been really nice too, holding the door for people, giving out lots of complements, and even donating to charity!

We accepted another contract.  This time we are headed to a town called "Hopeless".  (If that isn't subtle foreshadowing I don't know what is.)  I'm becoming increasingly concerned and wary of this rogue.  She klepto'd a weapon from our employer and it seemed to drive her mad.  The group managed to convince her to discard the weapon as we attempted to examine the weapon and the rogue.  We were forced to render her unconscious for the examination.   After a few hours of searching we were able to locate a couple of scrolls to remove a curse.  We though it worked until rogue woke up.  She immediately reached for the dagger again.  The deal is going down soon, I'm afraid.  There is something terribly wrong with this halfling and I believe it had something to do with the condition in which we found her.   If there is another way I hope we can find it soon.  I fear it may be too late already though.

In other news..  I'm hoping for guard duty again.  Ugh.

DM Entry: Acacia Dreams, Night 2

A small halfling child not yet old enough for schooling, sits alone, playing with toy figures of warriors. As he plays, he mimics voices of the different figures.

An obviously male voice, with overtones of jealousy, "She took it so we couldn't have it."

He picks up another figure, this time creating a snide female voice, "I told you we couldn't trust her."

And again he picks up another figure, making a smug female voice, "I told her if she picked it up again, she'd get a spanking."

Back to the previous toy figure, and the snide female voice, "If she takes it from us again, I'll just kill her. Why did we bring a stupid thief with us anyway?"

Now picking up still yet another toy warrior, with an overly judgmental male voice, "It may come to that. First I'll restrain her with my magic." At this he makes a noise simulating magic powers. "That should hold her still. I agree, she should be punished for trying to steal from us."

Now with the first toy figure again, and the jealous male voice, "Let's see if she tries it again. Dismiss your magic, holy man."

He picks up the judgmental male figure, and gestures with a noise, "There, she is free again. But I'm telling you, she will try again."

The jealous male toy again, "If she tries it again, just kill her. She's not taking my dagger."

Picking up the smug female figure, "It will be my pleasure to kill her. She deserves to die."

The child suddenly stops playing, realizing that Acacia is watching him. He drops his toys and springs to his feet with a big smile, "Hi, mommy! I didn't know you were watching me. I sure can't wait until I'm born. I'll make sure nobody messes with you. They just don't understand. You need that dagger, mommy. I know you do. You love it. There's not another one in the whole world like that one. It's the best dagger ever." He flexes his small little biceps, acting tough, growling like he's trying to intimidate someone. "I won't let them hurt you mommy. I promise."

Then he relaxes and smiles again, "Do you think we can play together when I'm born, mommy? I'll let you play with the girl ones, since you're a girl. And I'll be the boy ones."

He picks up one of the female figures and holds it up to Acacia

Then he bring it back to himself before she can grab the toy, making the smug female voice again, "No, please." He makes a mocking cry with that female voice, "Please, Lucifugus. I promise I'll never hurt your mommy again."

And now with his own voice, a voice too deep and mature for a child of his age, and  certainly not the voice of a halfling, a fiendish menacing voice coated with the heavy tar of wickedness, he squeezes the toy tightly, "You will suffer a thousand ways, mortal. You will learn to respect me when I'm the new Overlord of Hell." At this he breaks the toy in half.

Acacia startles awake.
