Pool Of Radiance: ECL 5, Osiris Eloah, Elf Wizard, (Generalist) 5: Journal Entry 2

I will admit the additions of the Marshal and the Dragonfire Adept have been useful. Poecock was able to provide helpful “enchantments” to the party that when coupled with my utility spells, make us quite a formidable team and our party was able to make short work of the remaining bandits. As for Wyrmard, a fire breathing dwarf that can melt the flesh from his victim’s bones at will, he has already ground many of his adversaries into dust beneath his boots. As we descended the spiraling staircase, Poecock pointed out a prisoner that appeared to have been tortured severely. After a brief discussion with the prisoner a fight soon broke out with the remaining bandits and the lone Wizard. A well timed hold person from Zhangri’if and assassin like precision with my dagger ensured that the wizard was finished. The three remaining bandits soon fell at the hands of the remaining team members as their will to fight was stripped from them with the loss of their leader. At this time the Paladin took it upon himself to escort the prisoner back to town so that he could be with his family. After looting the bodies, the wizard did provide me with some useful spells to learn to increase my own power, and performing a search of the area, we found a few magical weapons and a somewhat alchemist table and supplies to enchant weapons that could prove very useful. I also discovered a secret door that could only be opened with special “salt” contained in a barrel in this area. After the group decided that it was in the best interest of the entire party to get some much needed rest, I cast rope trick to give us the most secure sleep I could muster. With each battle and each rest not only myself but also my teammates become stronger. I ponder if that will be strong enough to save the village when the time comes.
